He might look something like this:

I took Jonas to a pediatric ophthalmologist this morning because his right eye has been sliding inward when he focuses on certain things. At first, we thought this one crossed-eye was cute, but then we realized it was something that was happening too frequent, so I made an appointment and he's got accommodative esotropia. Poor kid! So, he'll be getting some prescription lenses. All kids have some degree of farsightedness (+2-+3) but Jonas's right eye is at a +6 and his left is +5, so he'll be getting some of these bad boys. Good thing I have a sister who works for an optometrist so that we don't have to pay hundreds of $$$ for a pair of glasses. So, the next time some of you will see Jonas, he might look something like this:

So, of the ones he tried on today, these were my favorite:
 They only had Fisher Price brand ones. This one is called Blast Off and it's a gunmetal color.

Hopefully we'll get him some soon and I'll definitely post pics when we do!

{4 weeks left before monkey #2 arrives}

Well he will look adorable with glasses! I feel bad for you cuz you will have to keep track of them. Better get a few pair! We love Jena at our house too. For more than just the reason she works at the eye dr. It's just an added bonus. :) Hope you're feeling well!!

He's a cute kid, Dana. Dang cute. And for some reason, little tykes in glasses are so precious to me! Sorry he needs glasses, but he looks so cute in them!

I am actually so excited for him (and you for that matter) For some reason there is a bad stigma when it comes to getting glasses, but who wouldn't want to see better! Not to mention he won't get made fun of when he gets older because #1 he won't have one crossed eye #2 he probably won't need glasses when he is older because you are fixing the problem now! Can't wait to get him a pair! Yipee!

Wow is he a cutie! Can't wait to see what #2 looks like! Sorry about the glasses so early, but so glad you have a hook up!

There is a reason that glasses have a bad rep...remember the big frames that went from eyebrow to cheekbone...yeah those. I may have had a few pair of them...

Hee Hee.

AH, Jonas! Well, least now a pair of glasses might help correct the problem and in the long run he will be grateful he can see! Good luck keeping track of them. Call Cortnie for tips....she has two in them and I am sure she can throw some good advice your way!

Love your sweet face!(Oh, not to mention that the blinkie thing is pretty sweet. We are so cool.)

Glad you caught the problem now! It won't take him till he loves them and wants to wear them. Just be consistent and persistent. What a cute little fellow!

Amen to all comments so far...he IS cute with the glasses. I agree that the only pain will be you and Pete keeping track of them. Out of 5 kids-4 had glasses,we started a little later but...alas...it's life and he'll be so glad later in life,right Beaner?)

He looks so handsome with his glasses! It makes him look so intelligent, the little genius boy, lol. Your counter on the side says you are 38 weeks, but you say 4 ya? I'm so excited, did you nail down a name yet?
