I usually let Jonas say the prayer over lunch. Well, today I told him it was his turn. I just waited, rather than prompting him and he whispered ever so quietly, "Dear......Father....Please bless lunch....Daddy at work...." and then he started talking normal talk, so I helped him end his prayer. I was so proud, I had to document it! That is the first time he's just done practically the whole thing on his own.
Jonas loves the song "Don't Ever Forget to Pray" (words by President Hinckley) and we sing it with him almost every night before he goes to bed. When I was the Primary Chorister, I taught this song to the kids. It is super easy and super short (nursery age kids could totally learn it). I don't think the new chorister knows it or sings it with the kids (sniff, sniff) but it is a great song none-the-less. Here's a link to it if anyone is interested (GINA!)
