Start spreading the news!

This is my friend, Mykalee. Her two older girls are in my children's choir and are so fun to work with. This is a great family. In fact, we went on a little weekend camp out/getaway with them last summer. Please read and post to spread the word, if you don't mind! The blogging world is a beautiful thing. Here is her original message:

We are trying to grow our family through adoption. We feel strongly that our family is not complete and we'd like your help in completing it! If you wouldn't mind helping out, please copy and paste this post into a post of your own on YOUR blog. And have your blogging buddies do the same! The more people that see this, the better our chances get.

We are the Yeager family! We live in Southeast Idaho. We are Scott (36), Mykalee (31), Katie (9), Jack (8), Rebekah (5), and Olivia (3). We have been so blessed. We have four healthy kids and have made many happy memories together already. I (Mykalee) have horrible pregnancies. All four kids have been difficult to get here. I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum- which means morning sickness times a billion, 24 hours a day for most of the 9 months. The easiest thing to describe it as is food poisoning. Anyway, that's not necissarily why we want to adopt. We have jumped into all of our pregnancies without a second thought. Even after Katie's- the worst one (I lost 30 lbs in the 1st trimester), I didn't need convincing or strong promptings. I knew what I was in for and was okay with it. Scott and I have talked about having a large family since our first date. He is a fantastic dad and I have always known I was born to be a mother. We decided to stop at four after Olivia was born, even though we wanted more. The feeling we aren't complete has gotten VERY strong recently. We prayed about another pregnancy, and got without a doubt a NO. I have to admit there was some relief. I am grateful I don't have to do that to our family and my body/sanity again. We were sure we weren't done discussing our family with the Lord, but had never really considered adoption. Well, through separate and joined answers to prayer, we KNOW this is what we are supposed to be doing. So, if you know of or hear of a potential birth mother that wants to place her baby(or babies-we'd love twins!) in a loving home, please direct her to us. You can show her our family blog, where she can get a feel for the kind of family we are, at :

Thank you so much! We really are grateful for your help in growing our family through adoption!

Love,

The Yeagers

Bah'gum

Jonas says the word bottle so funny. We try to imitate it, but we just sound ridiculous. You try it. It's like he says the last part of the word with his mouth closed. The video is really short and he only says it one time. Then you'll hear him say a complete sentence. Yes, that's right. He says "Can I see?" He also says "What's that?" all the time {not in the video}. Anyway, a lil' video for your enjoyment:

He has been trying so hard to talk to us and will usually imitate us quite well. Other times, he just goes off speaking who-knows-what and looks right at us and expects us to understand every word. Here's a longer video of him talking:

8 Random Things I Did Yesterday:

The hunt begins...

While we were down in UT this last weekend at my mom's, we did an Easter egg hunt because all of the grand kids were actually there! Here are some shots. Caleb is almost 6 months old, so he didn't do the hunt and isn't pictured with all the other grand kids.

{All the kiddos--minus Caleb}
{Jonas sharing his eggs with uncle Glade}
{Spotting another egg...but he didn't want to get this one...don't know why}

I was surprised how Jonas knew what to do with the eggs. He would find them and put them right in his basket. It was such a blast for him. He would scream like a girl if I took the basket away from him. Last Easter, he was only 5 1/2 months old, so he really didn't know what to do. In fact, he could barely even hold the eggs. This year was much more fun. Can't wait 'til next year!
