Need a haircut???

I don't know--what do you think??? His hair is longer on the top and on the right side (if you're looking at him). It is pretty funny when it is sticking out.

Well, I decided that it was finally time for his first haircut. I was going to do a poll for this, but it's too late.

I love MY LOVES!!!

Yesterday, I met up with a set of my old roomies and all 6 of us were there. I used to call them Jenny, my love; or Kyra, my love; etc. (hence the post title). Well, Cecilia, Kyra, myself, and all our boys rented a van and rode down to Logan to meet up with the rest. Maurine had flown in for a family wedding from North Carolina, so we took advantage of the opportunity to get together at Cafe Rio.

After lunch, we went to the park to let the kiddos play.

We decided that we need to do this at least annually with as many as can come. We shared lots of laughing over silly stories from our college glory days!

A little note:

Jonas's first tooth (bottom right) is coming in and I can feel it!!! Maybe that's why he woke up cranky this morning. Of course, there's no way to get a picture of it because his tongue is always in the way :o).

I asked him if he wanted anything from me, and he said, "no" so I obeyed him like a good wife. Well, he went to ward council on Sunday morning, came home and said, "all the other guys got new ties from their wives." Maybe I'll go out and get him one so that he doesn't feel left out ;)

I have an awesome husband. He is also being such a great dad. I love this picture of them together. I hope Jonas turns out to be just as good a husband someday. In this picture, it looks like Jonas is singing. {He's training to be the next Pavarotti, I guess}

Finally some nice weather

We had some nice weather for about a week in May and since then it has been raining, or snowing (yes, it snowed in June) since then. Well, yesterday it was gorgeous, so I went with my friend Angela and her son Bryce to the ZOO!!! It was fun, although Jonas doesn't really care about the animals yet.

Sometimes it is such a task to get him to open his mouth to eat. Other times he opens up freely. It seems like he's afraid to babble while eating now because we always throw the spoon inside as soon as it's open. Now he sucks on his bottom lip and will hum without opening his mouth. What a stinker!!!

Carnival

Our ward had a carnival today. It was fun and Jonas got his face painted by my friend Tevya. We ate hotdogs, nachos, and cotton candy. They also had lots of games. Of course, he should have been taking a nap at the time, but he was just too excited to sleep.

$.02 toy

I was eating lunch this afternoon and Jonas was totally eyeing my plate, so I decide to give it to him. This is THE BEST TOY YET. My favorite part is how excited he gets just to see it. You can't see it in the video, but his whole body would jolt when he saw it. It is 2:48--hope you don't get bored. Oh, and at the end you can hear his new excited noise that he's been making lately.

And as an update, I finished ELDEST a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It took quite a while to finish. Some parts were hard to make it through and others I couldn't wait to see what came next. I am excited for BRISINGR to come out in September.

And my latest project (which is taking up lots of my extra time--hence not as much blogging):

I crochet the flowers and then put them on alligator clips with some ribbon. I am planning on making them to sale, since I don't have a girl, although I do wear them in my hair!!! So, how much do you think someone would pay for one of these hand-made crocheted flower clips? (Yes, that is Jonas wearing the clip, and Pete wasn't there to stop me!!!)
