What Jonas found at the heart of our country...

Jonas loves to navigate his way around the computer. He is constantly turning on the music player and finding his favorite songs (which could be a whole new post). He also loves getting on Google Earth and perusing the planet. On more than one occasion, I have come to the computer and found this picture filling the screen:
I had to scroll out to figure out what it was because I had no idea where Jonas had zoomed in to. So out I scrolled and found this:
Alright, a random football stadium somewhere...
 in Lawrence...Okay, where's Lawrence?...
Near Topeka. Okay, so we're in Kansas...why is Jonas finding this particular football field in the middle of Kansas anyway. We started to get a little worried that he may be a bit too good at this, so we did a little research of our own and got on Google Earth. Well, it brings us to our lovely United States.
So, we scrolled in where it led us and what do you know, it leads us to a little place called Lawrence, Kansas--apparently the HEART of our neat little country! And the football field lies just NE of the HEART a nice little landmark. Now if he finds some other random object in the world more than once, we might get a little worried...

It was so good, I had to take a picture...

Alrighty folks, I promise not to make a habit of posting my couponing adventures, but this one way too good to pass up sharing. Unfortunately the deals are over and I went on the last night of the sale. These are just some of the reasons I {heart} Walgreens...and couponing...
So, out of pocket, I paid just under $41 for everything you see here: 2 Venus razors, 1 planters NUTrition, 4 Robitussin to go's, 1 Advil pm, 1 old spice body spray, 6 Olay body washes, 1 Colgate toothpaste, 1 Oral-B toothbrush, 5 Secret body sprays, 5 Herbal Essences hair products, 1 3-pk. Ivory bar soap, 1 Gillette after-shave, 2 Similac formulas, and last but not least, 12 candy cane pens (it may seem random, but these were my loverly fillers).

Now, normally I wouldn't pay that much out of pocket, but since most of the items were Proctor and Gamble brand, I couldn't use the catalina coupons to pay for other P&G brands (if that doesn't make sense, just ignore it).

SOOOO...the best part of the deal was that in buying all of these items, I received more than $50 in coupons to use on anything I would like at Walgreens. So basically they paid me $10 or so and I walked away with a ton of great things. And I'll be getting a mail-in-rebate for the nuts, so another $3.50 will be coming in the mail!

I used some of the $50 in coupons to buy an SD card, diapers, more great couponing deals, etc. and I still have a bunch left to use on other great deals within the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully I've inspired someone to coupon...alright, I'm done {sigh}.

a month in the making....

Bonked his head while being a "boy"

The two boys

He didn't get his big mouth from me... ;0)

Fresh strawberries from our garden....at the end of OCTOBER!!! Gotta love that warm weather that lingered a bit longer.

"I don't want to rock 'n roll"

In an effort to get Mr. Jonas to go to the bathroom today, I cheered, "let's go....let's go.....let's rock 'n rock 'n roll!!!"

to which Jonas quickly replied, "I don't want to rock 'n roll!"

...couldn't resist writing that one down.

Aren't they just the cutest you've ever seen?

My boys...

I know, you think they're cute too, right? Well, you may not think they are cuter than yours, but would you be so kind as to go vote for my boys at the Gerber photo contest?!? Pretty please?!? Everyday?!?

JUST CLICK ON THEIR PICTURES ABOVE & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTE

Much to my dismay, the rules are such that only one vote can be cast per email address, computer, and day, so all though I have two email accounts, I can only use one per day because I only have one computer, unless I go use someone else's computer (the library is tempting me). So for you lucky ones out there with at least two computers and two email addresses in your household, you can vote for both of them everyday.

So why do I want you to vote for my boys? It's simple, really. I had (November 26, 2004-July 17, 2010, RIP) a digital camera with video capabilities that weren't anything to do cartwheels for, but it was compact and decent. I have a really nice camera (thank you Nikon) but it doesn't have video capabilities. So, the winner for each "milestone" category for each month will win one of these puppies:

{Flip SlideHD Camcorder}

My parents have a regular Flip and it is pretty cool. Needless to say, I'd like to be able to post more videos of my precious boys on here, so help me out, por favor! Just click on their pictures to vote!!!
Merci beaucoup!

I have to write it down...

...or I'll forget!

Evan rolled from his back to his belly yesterday and then I put him on his belly for "tummy time" and he rolled onto his back!

Visit from Nana & Bless You!

Nana came to visit & met Evan for the first time! She snuggled him to the max and had a magical touch for putting him to sleep. We love Nana!

Nana brought her two puppies along and Jonas LOVED them. Em was just the perfect size for him and she didn't mind him picking her up.

I love how Evan is already pulling faces at the camera!

He's already singing his little heart out :0)

9 1/2 weeks old. He's in the 70th percentile for his weight (he's now in 3-6 mon. clothes!) and 50th percentile for his height.

Evan's blessing day was wonderful. We had almost all of my family over (lots of extra hands to hold la bebe & help with the food) which was wonderful! I love them all! Pete (& the bishop) said Evan was smiling during the blessing. What a sweet little man we have!

Here's a pic with Grandma & Grandpa Gunther

Here's our little family...

Pete's Dad Vince, and his wife Ana with her daughter RoyAnn (& her friend Chelsie...not in the picture) were able to come down for the blessing. They were awesome help and they especially love Jonas! We always love it when they come to visit.

Evan was not being very cooperative for pictures...

until he got the bink...

Here are some more random pictures:

Do these guys look like brothers?!? These were taken when they were each 1 month old:
They have the exact same cow lick in the front right side of their hairline even.

Jonas wanted to change Monkey's bum...

The other day, Jonas told me he caught a spider. Sometimes he pretends to have something, like a cookie, and give it to me and I though that's what he was doing, but I saw something black in between his fingers. He wasn't kiddin'! He'd caught a jumping spider (from who-knows-where) and put it on the kitchen floor. How he caught it, I'll never know...

Randomness

Evan is now 2 1/2 weeks old, but these pics were from when he was 8 days old:
I love baby "ooooh" faces

Jonas loves to copy Pete and he usually lays on the floor with Pete when he does his stretches after biking. Jonas even grabbed an apple to chomp on like dad!

Jonas's monster creations. We got these magnet books from Grandma and Jonas has loved putting faces together. He got the nose and mouth mixed up on the one on the left (and thought that monster mouth was a hat) and added a mouth goatee for the one on the right, complete with eyes for ears. Hey, at least he got all the matching eyes...

I love sitting like this, like kneeling but flat on the ground, and I found Jonas in this position this morning after getting mad about his "temple" falling over.
