Tackling the stairs and more
Here's the video I promised. He's got a little cold, so it sounds like he's wheezing a bit.
I thought I'd post some pictures from our latest adventures as well.
Here are pics from our anniversary that we celebrated a couple of days late. We went to the Clark's Planetarium in the Gateway mall to watch Deep Sea 3-D.
{Our beautiful glasses}
We went to the batting cages at Cherry Hill and did miniature golf. I totally kicked Pete's butt at golf, but he hit more balls than me in the cages. I chose fast softball, and let's just say it's been a while since I played fast pitch softball, plus the flip flops didn't help.
We ate lunch at Mexican Grill in Bountiful.
{One of the jalepenos in my burrito. Pete thought I was just being a wus (sp?) when I said that my mouth was on fire.}
Then we went to IKEA in Draper for a few things. I could honestly spend hours there, but we were in a hurry to get to dinner with the family at Texas Roadhouse.
My mom watched Jonas for the whole day. THANKS MOM--YOU'RE THE BEST!!!

A Love**Hate relationship
I am posting this now because I don't want to miss documenting it, but I can't find my camera after our weekend vacation, so I'll try to get a video posted later, so check back.
When it comes to Jonas getting older and getting through his milestones, I call it a Love/Hate issue. LOVE because it is so fun to see him do new things and keep up with his contemporaries, but HATE because I want this little bugger to stay cute and small and I have liked not having to keep a constant eye on him.
Well, I bring this up because I was eating breakfast this morning and I heard Jonas by the stairs that go up to the bedrooms and bathroom {only 6 stairs}. I thought to myself "he'll just be stuck at the bottom with both his hands on the second step." I heard him just having a grand ol' time and I look and saw him on the 5th stair!!! I was shocked to see him up so high. He's never even gone up the first one, let alone all of them. I took him back down and had him do it again. It was so much fun to watch him. Pete came home for a little bit to grab his laptop for work and he watched him cruise on up. In fact, he was going so fast, he nearly tipped over. He gets really excited when Pete comes home.
So, now I have to watch him, not going up, but wanting to come back down. At least if he does fall down, it's only 6 stairs and it is carpet at the bottom. The other set of stairs--not so much!!!
Oh, and along with a video of him climbing up the stairs, I'll post some stuff from our past weeks' vacation pictures.

Three items of business...
#1: Midnight Party--So, I will post pictures of my twilight par-tay later, but I did want to post pictures of me and my best friends from HS when we went to the Border's midnight release party. We played a trivia game and I won a red rose, BD pin, and BD stickers. I helped Destiny win for one of the questions too, and I tried to win one for Jamie, but then they were ending, so I gave her my flower and Destiny gave her some stickers. Dang, those questions were hard and I only knew a few answers because I had them as questions at my party!!! It was so much fun. We also listened in on a debate between Edward and Jacob. The 'sides' were definitely lopsided {obviously in favor of Edward}. They released the book and we were out of there within a half hour or so. It was so much fun. Then, I made Jamie read the book on the 30 minute drive home, stayed up to finish the chapter we were on, then hit the sack so that I could sleep while Jonas was sleeping. As of yesterday, I was at the half-way point and I am calling shots along the way. No reading today {Sunday}, but I'll pick it up tomorrow to get through some more.
