...a fat lip! She totally decked him!!!
{I started this post on the 7th of July and it has taken me this long to finally finish it, sorry.} Jonas kissed his first girl a couple of weeks ago, but that's not exactly where he got his fat lip. It sure makes for a cool story though, eh? He actually fell and hit the table in nursery. Top and bottom were hit and he was bleeding pretty bad. The nursery leader was really apologetic, but I told her that it was no big deal. He's a boy for cryin' out loud! I am surprised he hasn't broken a bone yet. I had to take the picture while he was sleeping because he kept licking and sucking on it.
On a more somber note, two weeks ago, yesterday, my sweet little {no exaggerating} grandma passed away. She has dearly missed grandpa and now she is back with him, which is good. We will surely miss her though. This picture was just after Jonas was born.
Here's most of my family. Pete and Jonas went home and Jeff {Carrie's hubby} and Owen were at my mom's too. Chris {Jena's hubby} wasn't there either, but I can't remember why. Other than that, this is everyone. We desperately need new family pictures.
My mom {on the right} and her sister Donnell. They took such good care of my grandma. They would visit her at least three times a day {but never during a JAZZ game!--grandma was a huge fan and she would get really into the game and swear and stuff, so she didn't want anyone else there to hear!}. Every time I visited my grandma, she would tell me what angels they were. And it is true. She couldn't have been in better hands.
Moving along to the 4th of July:
We got there when the parade was SUPPOSED to start, but found out that it had been going for about 45 minutes already. We missed the BMX bikers, which is one of the best parts! Bummer.
Kayli Sturdevant and Jonas enjoying their sticky suckers.
The Sturdevants: fellow no family around-ers, so we hung out together! And we just recently realized that we are kinda related. My grandpa is Tasha's step-grandpa. What a small little world we live in!
These are the best fireworks around, folks! Seriously. I think if we ever move, we'll have to make a yearly tradition of coming to see these fireworks.
I have been a blog slacker lately. So I haven't been blurking like I normally do. The summer is just getting away from me. Two weeks until our PEI trip. I am uber excited!

What a great catch up - can't wait to see all the rest of your summer adventures.
I love that picture of most of our family. We are stinkin' cute. We HAVE to come for the fireworks up there one of these times. I have a feeling we are missing out on something pretty awesome.
Dang. I guess I'm not part of the family any more...:)
that is so funny... already kissing girls, huh?! At least maybe he won't try that again for awhile!
Sorry to hear about your Grandma, that's always hard. she looks like a sweet little lady, just like you said.
Have a happy rest of the summer!
SORRY CHRIS! I can't even remember why you weren't there. I guess that's why I forgot! I know it wasn't because of cranky kids though.
Hey Honey! You have been behind on the blog...but if you keep leaving me sweet little comments, it's fine!
I am sorry about your grandma too. What a deal. I am glad she is happy now with grandpa! I can't imagine that little lady with a potty mouth during a Jazz game though! Too funny!
Way to go Jonas. So did he really kiss a girl or was that just for fun??
I think that Merlin nights would be fun, but Kyle might laugh at us!
Dana, that was me--GINA not Kyle. You knew that though, right? And hey, will you email me that [hoto of me and Brooklyn!
They really are great fireworks up there. I've been slackin' on the bloggin' too. You're much better than me.
So sorry about your grandma Dana. Sounds like it's all for the best though. I totally can't see her swearing at the tv, but hey you never know.
Jonas is a sweetie. Lucky little girl. Lol.
We miss you guys. We definitely need to get together soon.
Poor Jonas. I personally can't wait to get Landon in Nursery (he's a handful at church right now). Sorry about your grandmother's passing. And can you believe all the time I lived in Idaho I never once saw the Idaho Falls fireworks?! Anyway, thanks for the updates.
Hi, I found your blog:)
Go Jonas, nursery Romeo!
Our primary program is Sept. 13th and I expect to see you sitting in the front row singing along silently and wiping your eyes:) Miss you mucho! (Although the choir sounds lovely . . .)
I'm in desparate need of updating my blog too. You should start taking pics for $$. You are very talented. We miss you, and hope things are going well! xoxo
Hi Dana! I've been terrible at blogging lately. How are you? What's new? I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. Jonas is getting so grown up! What a cutie. HOpe all is well.
