Wow, what a story! I forgot to give everyone the low-down on the transporting of our new bed. I took a picture on my phone, but I don't have a microSD card to get it off, so for now, just imagine what it looked like. Pete was down in SLC doing a bike ride with his brother and afterward, pickedup the bed. He had to take it out of the box to get it inside our Subaru, and even had to tie the hatch with Seran wrap he found in the dumpster behind IKEA to hold it down (I know, total white trash). Okay, so he made it to Brigham City, but then, where was Jonas going to go??? Pete's initial suggestion was to tie Jonas to the top. Suggestion number 2 was to have me lay down on top, holding the headboard on. The 3rd, and ultimate suggestion, was to tie the headboard to the top (the footboard fit with Jonas in the back). So, Pete and my dad put carpet foam down and tied it to the top. We started heading down the freeway and pulled over because there was a loud smacking sound on the car. It was the carpet foam, so we ripped off the extra stuff. Well, we stopped four more times before we hit the Idaho border because of continued stuff moving around and such, and finally got it so that it wasn't making any noise. What should have been a two hour fifteen minute ride back home took over three hours!!! Oh, and to top it off, it was raining pretty hard by the time we got home, so we had to wipe the headboard down right away. But, all is good now.

I'm sorry you got home so late. What a pain---but it's cute. You guys need an IKEA in IF. I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. It took forever for us to get just one in Utah.
That's a funny story! You should have just borrowed the truck and brought it back when you came down this weekend!
Yeah... you totally should have borrowed the truck. I wish I could have seen it though.
So funny! And I LOVE The bed.
First off I really LOVE it when my name is in a blog title! Just makes me feel special!
Second, I figured it would be an ordeal because my bro and sis in law bought a bed at IKEA not too long ago. They have a Honda Odessey and they had to tie the big box on top and drive pretty slow all the way from SL to LV!
Third, remember when I called and told you a guy from the band Train had a daughter in joc's kindergarten class? well I FINALLY got the nerve to talk to him today! I will be blogging about that soon. It's a GREAT story!
