$.02 toy

I was eating lunch this afternoon and Jonas was totally eyeing my plate, so I decide to give it to him. This is THE BEST TOY YET. My favorite part is how excited he gets just to see it. You can't see it in the video, but his whole body would jolt when he saw it. It is 2:48--hope you don't get bored. Oh, and at the end you can hear his new excited noise that he's been making lately.

And as an update, I finished ELDEST a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It took quite a while to finish. Some parts were hard to make it through and others I couldn't wait to see what came next. I am excited for BRISINGR to come out in September.

And my latest project (which is taking up lots of my extra time--hence not as much blogging):

I crochet the flowers and then put them on alligator clips with some ribbon. I am planning on making them to sale, since I don't have a girl, although I do wear them in my hair!!! So, how much do you think someone would pay for one of these hand-made crocheted flower clips? (Yes, that is Jonas wearing the clip, and Pete wasn't there to stop me!!!)

Hey Dana,
Jonas is getting SO big! What a cute little man. Isn't it funny how kids have the most fun with things that are cheap and weren't intended for play? Why do we bother spending money on toys?? I LOVE the flower clips...they are adorable! I might have to buy some from you! And yes, the carousel is up and running...but it costs $1/ride :P

So cute! I love the flower clips! I feel like I haven't seen or talked to you in ages. Sorry, it's just crazy with family in town and Blake home. I know you understand.

RIght now everyone is out in the yard planint my mom's flower beds, and I am watching all the kids. So i have a minute to update the blog and say hi!

Hope things are good, and let's plan on getting together next week !

Love Gina

Wow! I love your flower clips! I would totally buy one! SOrry we didn't get together when we were home. There was just too much to do and not enough time. Did Pete tell you I saw him at the teacher clinic? Yes, I have to renew my license.

Hey I want some clips! How much did they cost to make & how much time did it take? I don't know how big they are and I am cheap, but I would probably pay $3-$4, depending on how big. When I find something I like that's versitile like that I'm willing to spend a little more, so... The nice thing is it is for all ages so when Avrie's hair grows in she can wear them. But until then, McKinley & Paige can wear them. Make a bunch, I'll buy them all!

I just realized that I never commented on this post. Sorry! The plate thing is so funny. The crochet flowers look so cute. I have no idea how much to charge for them. You could put them together in sets, so people feel like they are getting more.

Hey, I was wondering if you might be willing to share the pattern for those crocheted flowers and how you assemble them....Depending on how long it takes you personally to make one, I'd think they'd go for $3-5 on the low end.
