Learning by Osmosis and other sparse events

Go Dog! Go! He's learning with Dr. Seuss early. This was from today {Sunday}. Day two in the toddler bed. Also pictured with Jonas: cowboy hat, monkey, lotion, and a bear. As you can see, the bumper is detatched by his feet and as I am typing this, the other is ripped off too. So much for that idea. I might have to construct something a bit more hardy.

Toddler bed Day ONE. This was his first nap in his new bed. He's surrounded by many books and in his paws are some flash cards. As I was putting away all of the hard things around him, I had to practically pry those cards out of his hands. Also, notice that he's UNDER his pillow.

Same nap, new position. I guess the bumper served its purpose for a little bit.

Picture perfect fruit from our garden! Super yummy too.

My latest painting projects. This clock used to be all off-white/black crackle. So you can imagine how it practically disappeared on the wall. I've got red in the living room, so I went with red to pop it off the wall :0)

We received this bookshelf as a wedding gift 7 years ago and it's been sitting in our garage for the last three. I decided to paint it and put it in Jonas's room. I didn't have enough brown paint, so I had to mix a bunch. It looked like grey, but it turned out to be brown once it dried. So I painted everything but the back brown and obviously the back I painted blue.

We went camping last weekend with Jason & Tevya. It was super fun as usual. Here are some pics using my nifty camera:

The FIRE.

Writing our names with FIRE.

I love it when he puts his hands behind his back. Here he is watching Jason start the fire.
One of Jonas's favorite words is HOT. Here he is showing us his sign.

He pretty much followed the boys around wherever they went. He was always just a few steps behind.

Pete trying to break a branch into burnable pieces by hitting it on a huge boulder.

Folks, I didn't use a filter or alter this picture in any way. Nature made those eyes look that BLUE. Click on the picture to see it bigger.

Goal: get inside the box. Step one: slide chair over to stool. Step two: climb on chair. Step three: climb on stool. Step four: get inside and empty the contents of the pencil holder into box!

Jonas helping me clean up his mess. {see next picture}

Oh yes, our first experience with toilet paper in the tub. That's right--TOILET PAPER! Two rolls to be exact. Boy was it FUN...for him at least. The square basket thing is what normally holds the paper and the sneaky bugger got it and did some damage.
************

Why this kid will not be playing video games any time soon. He was seriously in a trance and it took a minute for Pete to get him snapped out of it. His eyes started watering because he wouldn't blink!

Jumping on the trampoline @ grandma's house. He loves to jump {even without the trampoline} and can actually get off the floor!

And don't forget to enter my drawing for a boy's tie. It ends on MONDAY at MIDNIGHT!

Sick! Toilet paper?! I would be screaming profanities, but maybe I'd giggle afterwards. You must have great patience and a sense of humor to deal with that kid! Books in bed are so cute too.

I love that little boy. He does the most random things that just make him so adorable! I am way jealous of your strawberry's! It usually takes a couple of years to produce such good looking (and tasting) strawberry's. You must have a green thumb.
