One of the many Arlington's in the world...

We went on a trip to visit Nana {Pete's mom}, in Arlington, for her birthday. Now, I didn't realize there were so many Arlington's in our country......30 to be exact. Yeesh! Well, we went to the one in Oregon...population 524 {with our visit, we made it 534}. It was a lot of fun. We left just after Pete checked out of his classroom for the summer and stayed for the weekend. We ate lots of good food {go figure} and just had a blast doing lots of different things: hanging out at the marina {Arlington is on the Colombia River}, kayaking, watching movies {my SIL Heidi and I watched North & South--I highly recommend if you like the Pride & Prejudice type movies}, geocaching, reading {I read Rose Daughter--thanks Allison}, playing SET, and lots of other random things.

Nana has this...thing...not sure what it is...maybe a blanket or something. Anyway, Pete put it on and pretended to be a dog. Of course Jonas loved it.

Jonas absolutely 's sunglasses:

Happy Birthday, Nana!

Pics from our trip to the Bon
neville Dam Sturgeon Fish Hatchery Place {or whatever it is called}:

Hey blogging world. Let me introduce you to Herman.
Pretty much the UGLIEST fish I've ever seen {no offense, Herman}! You can see Tom, Cami, and Megan in the background.
They can get up to 12 feet long! I think he was 8 feet...maybe 10?!? I can't remember.
Nana, Levi, and Lucas checking out the BEAST.
Jonas & the other kids feeding the Rainbow Trout.

A spidey in the pretty flower!

Well, that was most of our trip. Check that one off of the list!

First of all, I've lived in the Portland area for 21/2 years and never heard of Arlington. I LOVE the North and South series- haven't seen them for a long time, but I was hooked the whole way through. We love geocaching, too! It's way fun!

Okee, I just added North & South to my Netflix Queue. If I don't like it, you're in big trouble.
